Meal Replacement

Meal replacements typically contain protein and carbs and can be used to 'replace' a meal when you don't have time to properly prepare a healthy meal. While 'real' food is always preferred, sometimes you simply do not have time and it is better to reach for a healthy meal replacement rather than a 'fast food'.

Meal replacements can also be used in conjunction with normal meals to increase your calories. The most important ingredient in your meal replacement is protein. Found in foods like meat, soy, dairy products and eggs, protein plays a vital role in the production of muscles. Without it, your body can't repair damage following workouts, recover from exercise properly or create new muscle cells. Protein supplements are designed to bridge the gap between the amount of protein that you're consuming from food and the amount that you need to see satisfying results from your workouts.
