What is L-Glutamine?

L-Glutamine is non-essential and conditionally essential in humans, meaning the body can usually synthesize sufficient amounts of it, but in some instances (such as intense exercise), the body’s demand for glutamine increases and glutamine must be obtained from the diet. In fact, glutamine is so important to the body, it is the most abundant amino acid found in the blood.

A variety of investigations have provided evidence that glutamine has become an important and, possibly essential, amino acid during certain times. This switch to becoming an essential amino acid appears when the demand of the body for glutamine increases markedly. The plasma glutamine use exceeds the glutamine synthesis of the skeletal muscle and the liver in catabolic conditions. Circulating glutamine is an important substrate for the enterocyte, hepatocyte and immune cells as an oxidative fuel as well as a substrate for nucleotide synthesis.

Allows daily training

I used to not be able to step off the curb without being in pain with training in my quads. Now I can do daily training and no restricted sorr muscles. It's an amazing product!! It tastes like nothing, so just need to chuck it back with a tiny bit of water and good to go.
Will never go without it now. 🙂

Using for gut health. After the first week already helping with muscle aches and pains as well. It would be cool if this was available in larger sizes (1kg or more?). Highly recommended.

Sleep!! Finally

I've been using this for sore muscles and sleep and it works really really well. I can work out everyday and the recovery is amazing! Sports Fuel have such amazing customer service - one of my favourite stores!!!

Helpful for sleep, muscle soreness and more

I’ve been taking this daily for about 2 years now and I wouldn’t go a day without it! Helps a lot with reducing muscle soreness after exercise. It’s also amazing for helping me fall asleep at night (insomnia) because it works on the gaba receptors in the brain (calming the mind). It’s also helped to completely heal my gut and rebuild my gut lining, which has allowed me to eat foods I used to be sensitive too. Great product for joints too, my mum has had 2 knee surgeries and uses it for her knees.. she’s not a health guru.. but she loves this stuff! Highly recommend... it also is flavourless, so it’s easy to drink in water
