This was my first try with RYSE Pre-Workout (Pink Blast), the taste was like something you would clean out a blocked the sink, very metallic and large scoop serving. The recommended mixing water is 8 to 12 ounce (236 to 355 millilitres) which made it hard to get down given the unpleasant taste!
I gave it the benefit of the doubt and wanted to see what happens in my normal heavy upper body training session. With my type of training I’m focusing on Endurance-Strength (medium weight high preps )
In this first session I had no focus and found it hard before and while training, was lightheaded after each set. Halfway through my session loss stream!!! Plus ran out of energy!!! Luckily, I found a sample sachet of ‘The Curse’ down that waited 10 minutes and managed to finish my normal session.
Okay, so maybe I just had a bad morning, so I decided to give it another two goes. The follow morning was leg day, again struggled to get it down. For the next two hours continuously burped and the taste was not any better upcoming back up!
Same disappointing effect as the day before, I also had to wait long between sets to regroup, I noticed as my heart rate increased I got more hazy. I had to drop part of my mid set routine just to get through.
I decided to stop here and throw out the rest of container (or try and get my $69 back), it did not do what it promised. It’s not worth trying again. I’m going back to my old pre-workout ‘The Shadow’ it does what it says!
